Your Agency Website in Five Minutes, Not Five Weeks

Landlords lose deals to the agency next door with a real public site. Proprietio's Website add-on puts you online in one click — 5 designs, brand, CRM-synced listings.

Independent landlords lose deals every month, and most of them never figure out why.

A prospect Googles your agency, hits a single Zillow listing or a Facebook page that hasn't been updated since 2022, and moves on to the agency two miles down the road that has a real website with photos, a contact form, and an "Apply now" button. The unit you would have rented in three days sits empty for three weeks instead. Multiply that across the year and you can put a real dollar number on not having a web presence.

The reason most independents don't have a real site isn't laziness. It's that the alternatives are bad. Hire a web agency and you write a $4,000 check, wait six weeks, get a site that's frozen the moment they hand it over, and then realize the listings on it are out of date the day you publish the first one. Buy a Wix template and you save the $4,000 but you're now maintaining two inventories — your CRM and a separate "website" — and they never agree.

We just shipped the third option: a real public agency website, branded, live in five minutes, with listings that stay in sync with your portfolio automatically. It's the Website add-on, $39/month, free on Pro and Enterprise plans. Here's what it does and how to set it up.

The three jobs your public site has to do

A real agency website does three things. If yours doesn't, it's not paying for itself.

One: showcase listings. Prospects search by neighborhood, price, bedrooms. They want photos, amenities, and a button that says "Apply now." Every vacant unit in your portfolio should be on your site automatically — not in a separate spreadsheet you remember to update every Tuesday.

Two: capture leads. Not every visitor is ready to apply. Plenty want to ask a question first, or get on a notify list for a unit that's about to come up. A contact form that lands in your inbox — and your CRM — turns that traffic into followups instead of a bounce.

Three: signal professionalism. A modern, fast, mobile-friendly site says you run an actual business. A Zillow profile says you rent out a spare room. The visitor doesn't read your About page; they read the design.

The Website add-on ships all three out of the box. No HTML. No hosting bill. No second inventory.

How it works

The setup is intentionally short.

  1. Go to Settings → Public website in your Proprietio account.
  2. Pick a design. There are five: Classic (traditional agency), Modern (SaaS-clean), Luxe (high-end, black + gold), Minimal (ultra-clean), Coastal (Mediterranean blue + cream). Switch any time — your content carries over.
  3. Drop in your logo, pick your primary brand color, write your About copy. Three fields.
  4. Hit Publish.

Your site is live at <your-slug>.site.proprietio.com immediately. Every vacant unit you've added to your CRM is on it. Every property you've flagged For Sale is on it. The listings index, the individual unit pages, the "Apply now" buttons that route into your existing application flow — all wired up. The contact form lands as a SiteInquiry row in your CRM with the visitor's name, email, phone, and message; your team gets an email notification.

The site has Tenant Login, Owner Login, and Apply Now affordances on every page — so existing renters can reach their portal, absentee owners can reach theirs, and prospects can start an application without anyone calling your office for the link.

Custom domain — the part everyone gets stuck on

You probably already own www.youragency.com. You don't want your site living on a Proprietio subdomain forever. Here's the part that usually takes a web agency a week:

  1. Open your domain registrar (Namecheap, GoDaddy, Cloudflare — whoever you bought the domain from).
  2. Add a CNAME record. Host: www. Value: cname.vercel-dns.com.
  3. Paste your domain into Settings → Public website.

That's it. We provision the TLS certificate for you in about sixty seconds via Vercel. SSL renews automatically forever — no certbot, no annual reminder, no $200/year hosting bill. The site that was at <slug>.site.proprietio.com is now at www.youragency.com with a green padlock. Your existing subdomain keeps working as a fallback.

SEO comes along for the ride: sitemap.xml, robots.txt, proper meta tags, mobile responsiveness. Google indexes your listings the moment you publish. The only platform mark on the site is a small "Powered by Proprietio" line in the footer — everything else is your brand.

Pricing — and what you get for free

The Website add-on is $39 a month, billed alongside your subscription. It's included free on Pro ($299/mo) — if you're on Pro, you don't pay for this separately. Pair it with the Bilingual Communications add-on and you can publish a Spanish-language variant of every public page, vocabulary tuned for US Hispanic markets (CA, TX, FL, AZ, NV) — relevant for any operator serving Spanish-speaking renters.

If you're an existing customer, head to Settings → Public website to turn it on. If you're not yet a customer, you can start a 14-day trial — every feature is unlocked, the Website add-on included, no credit card required. Detailed product page with screenshots: /features/site-pro.

The agency down the road already has a website. It's time you had one too — and didn't write a $4,000 check to get there.
